ASSISTANT PROFESSOR/INTERNSHIP COORDINATOR
RESORT MANAGEMENT


The Graduate & Professional Studies Division of Saint Joseph's College of Maine, is seeking applicants for a full time nine month, non-tenure track faculty position as Assistant Professor/Internship Coordinator in the Resort Management specialization within its MBA degree program beginning Fall 2003. The key responsibilities of the position are to coordinate and administer internships in the school's MBA Resort Management program at Killington Resort (Killington, VT) and to develop and teach graduate-level courses within the field of expertise at both the Killington and Standish campuses.

At minimum, candidates must possess: an MBA from an accredited institution; at least ten years of management experience in business; demonstrated general knowledge of at least three of the program's relevant fields (i.e. Leadership, Systems Thinking & Organizational Dynamics, Quality, Ethics & Social Responsibility, Resort Management, Economics, Finance, Marketing, and Sales); experience in working with and guiding others (e.g. graduate students); a keen interest in helping people learn and develop; good organizational skills; and strong written communication and interpersonal skills. An earned doctorate in Leadership, or in a related discipline, is highly desirable. Additional consideration will be given to candidates who can provide evidence of teaching breadth relative to the program's subject matter. Managerial experience in the Resort Industry would be a plus.
