De Vere Group (formerly Greenalls Group) is finally getting around to flattening some of the very beer bellies it created. The Warrington , UK-based pub and hotel operator is rolling out a line of Greens Health & Fitness Clubs. It axed its centuries-old business of brewing beer in 1990 and did the same to its pub and restaurant business almost a decade later. Its sole tie to its former life is its G & J Greenall distillers and bottlers business. The rest of the company consists of about 21 upscale De Vere Hotels, 13 Village Leisure Hotels, and 11 Greens Health & Fitness Clubs.
