Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc: London : MLC

You won't have to wait a thousand years for room service at Millennium & Copthorne Hotels (M&C). The company operates four-star business hotels primarily under the Copthorne and Millennium names; its Regal hotels (US) were rebranded under the Millennium name in 2001. It also owns 42% of New York 's famed Plaza Hotel. In all, M&C operates more than 90 hotels throughout Asia , Australia , Europe , and North America . It more than doubled its holdings with the 1999 purchase of the Asia/Pacific hotels of Hong Kong-based CDL Hotels International, which owns 52% of M&C.
